Kenrick School of Theology prepares men for the priesthood of Jesus Christ in the Catholic Church. God does this work; we assist a man in letting God do the work in him. Our hope and goal is that a man transformed through this program will be easily assignable – ready for confident leadership in any pastoral landscape.
Kenrick School of Theology
Kenrick School of Theology serves dioceses across the country and internationally. Seminarians will experience the Holy Spirit as the primary agent of formation, encounter formators who integrate all four dimensions of formation in every activity, and be challenged by a program that deliberately walks them through progressively deepening stages of formation: Propaedeutic (1 year); Discipleship (2 years); Configuration & Vocational Synthesis (3.5 years).
Some highlights of the Kenrick School of Theology include:
A 3.5 year curriculum of theological formation
The use of J-terms (January terms, where classes meet every day for 3 weeks)
Mondays set aside for a deliberate curriculum of formation
A Capstone Pilgrimage course either to the Holy Land, or to Greece and Turkey in the footsteps of Saint Paul.
Upon completion of the Kenrick School of Theology a man will have earned the MDiv in ministerial leadership, and may also earn the MA in theological studies.
Men who complete this program of formation are prepared for ordination, ready for a lifelong commitment to the priesthood, and equipped for mission in a new apostolic age.
