Cardinal Glennon College is a community of faith, formation, and learning that fosters in its students an integrated Christian maturity in four dimensions - human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral - and assists its students in their discernment of God’s presence and call in their lives, especially the call to the priesthood of Jesus Christ.

Cardinal Glennon College is the undergraduate seminary formation program of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, which comprises the first two stages of priestly formation—Propaedeutic and Discipleship—as laid out by the Program of Priestly Formation of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The program progresses year to year: Propaedeutic I, Propaedeutic II, Discipleship I, Discipleship II.
The College operates as a collaborative-model undergraduate intellectual formation program conjointly with the College of Philosophy and Letters of Saint Louis University. Seminarians complete two years of general education requirements at the University, and two years of philosophy and theology requirements at the seminary campus, culminating in the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Saint Louis University. These initial stages of priestly formation prepare the seminarian for the study of theology and the more intense experience of priestly formation in the Configuration Stage.
