Preparing a Will
An Opportunity to Leave a Legacy to Kenrick-Glennon Seminary
You’ve heard the message many times before—each of us should prepare a Will. Indeed, this is good advice because a Will truly is the best way to ensure that one day your property will be distributed according to your own wishes. But there is another reason why having a Will is so important. Each of us in our own way wants to “make a difference.” We’d like to make the world a better place for our families and our communities—we would like to leave a legacy. When you prepare a Will you’re not only taking care of the needs of your family, you also have a unique opportunity to leave your mark, your own personal legacy in the world. By naming in your Will the institutions that you know are committed to the same central values that you embrace, you are pledging lasting support for those values.
For more than 100 years Kenrick-Glennon Seminary has pursued a single mission: we train and prepare men for the priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church. These are the men who have served in parishes of the St. Louis Archdiocese as well as in parishes and religious communities throughout the Midwest. And it was the past generations of St. Louisans who embraced this mission and provided the abundant resources to form the priests of yesterday and today.
Now the Seminary looks to you, our close friends, because you have already shown that you understand the importance of training priests for tomorrow. As you prepare your Will and plan your legacy, Kenrick-Glennon Seminary invites you to ensure that your commitment to the priesthood and our vision of priestly training is shared and realized long into the future.
For those of you who have already included Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in your Will or other estate plans, we encourage you to let us know. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to show our gratitude for your generosity by inviting you to a special Day of Recollection here at the Seminary next spring. For those of you interested in including Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in your Will, contact the Kenrick-Glennon Seminary Development Office at 314-792-6113.
