Bishop Carl Kemme, Class of 1986

Most Rev. Carl Kemme, Class of 1986, was installed as the 11th Bishop of the Diocese of Wichita on May 1st, the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker. Bishop Kemme succeeds Archbishop Michael Jackels who is now Archbishop of Dubuque. The new bishop chose "Humilitas" (Latin for "humility") as his episcopal motto. Prior to his appointment, Bishop Kemme was the Vicar General of the Diocese of Springfield, IL. He is also a former member of the Kenrick Alumni Committee.
