Kenrick Alum Receives Medal of Honor
On April 11th, Fr. Emil Kapaun, a Kenrick graduate from the Class of 1940, was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor at the White House. Fr. Kapaun (1916-1951) was a priest chaplain in the Korean conflict and is recognized for his extraordinary heroism and holiness. He has been named "Servant of God" by the Church and his cause for canonization was formally opened in 2008.
