Kenrick School of Theology
~Saint John Vianney, Catechism on the Priesthood
The Kenrick School of Theology is the major seminary for the Archdiocese of Saint Louis. Along with the four-year Theology Program, the School of Theology runs a two-year Pre-Theology Program for students who have received their college degree from another college or university but do not have the required number of credit hours in philosophy. Seminarians in the Pre-Theology Program take upper level philosophy courses in preparation for the study of theology while being introduced to the four dimensions of formation: human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral. Seminarians in the Theology Program are formed throughout their four years of theological studies according to the same four dimensions of formation to prepare them for the priesthood of Jesus Christ and to configure them according to the Heart of the Good Shepherd.
