Construction Progress

BSI Constructors and the entire project team are making significant progress on the Shrewsbury campus.  The building of the east expansion and library renovations are moving forward at a fast pace and a few of the seminarian rooms are already near completion.  The project is expected to be completed in time for the entire Seminary community to move back into the building after the Fall 2012 semester concludes.  For photos of the progress, click here.

Construction Progress

East rooftopThe renovation project at the Seminary's Shrewsbury campus is progressing at a very fast pace.  The building expansion is receiving its brick and stone veneer which blends well with the existing building.  Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection work is being concealed by the installation of drywall.  The hardwood floors in many rooms have been restored and the walls painted.  Original casework and trim is being installed in some rooms and public spaces.  The project team is doing an exceptional job at blending the new with the old.  Admin offices

Renovations Progress

Tower stone workThe renovations of the Seminary's campus in Shrewsbury are under budget and ahead of schedule. Progress is evident as the shell of the eastern expansion has taken form and interior demolition has given way to new construction.  New metal stud partitions create the rooms and spaces which will serve the seminary community.

The project has allowed the Seminary to fix previous problems such as leaky plumbing, outdated electrical systems, and insufficient heating and cooling systems. There have also been significant improvements to the exterior of the buildings and the campus grounds.  New underground utilities and site lighting have been installed, exterior masonry is being repaired, and the soccer field has been regraded and sodded after a new irrigation system was installed.

Project update

Construction is progressing well. The weather has been favorable thus far, allowing work to progress smoothly. The east expansion now has a floor slab on the lower level. The soccer field is graded and will soon have an irrigation system and new sod. There is ductwork, piping and electric going in everywhere.  (If you don't have flash, click here to see pictures.)
